County Administration - Topics of Public Interest

Visit the TREE MORTALITY Task Force page located under Commissions & Committees..  Overgrown forests, drought, and bark beetle are destroying forests throughout California. Since 2010, over 102 million trees have died throughout the State, and 850,000 acres throughout Siskiyou County are impacted by tree mortality.

The State of California OES has created a documentary of our recent historic drought, the State of Urgency.  Very worthwhile to watch and even discusses our own Story of Montague's water crisis.
