Dog Licensing
If you have questions regarding licensing, please call 530-841-4112.
Any person residing within the unincorporated area of the County must pay for an annual dog license. Siskiyou County’s licensing program provides a tracking system, which assures that an animal is current on vaccinations. In addition, licensing helps identify the owners of lost or injured dogs so they may be re-united with one another.
The fees to license your dogs are as follows:
- $10.00 for a spayed/neutered dog (with proof)
- $30.00 for an unaltered dog
- $15.00 late license fee for a spayed/neutered dog
- $45.00 late license fee for an unaltered
Proof of a current Rabies vaccine must be presented at the time of licensing. We only accept cash, check or money order as a form of payment. Payments can be made through the mail or in our office during normal business hours at 525 South Foothill Drive, Yreka, CA 96097. We are open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, excluding holidays.
