Tobacco Education Project
The Siskiyou County Tobacco Education Project is the Local Lead Agency (LLA) responsible for preparing and submitting a comprehensive tobacco control plan to the California Department of Public Health, Tobacco Control Program on behalf of Siskiyou County.
Major Project Goals:
- To reduce exposure to secondhand smoke, third-hand smoke, tobacco waste, and other tobacco products;
- To reduce the availability of tobacco and limit tobacco promoting influences directed toward youth;
- To collaborate with diverse partners to promote a “community norm change” and
- To provide educational resources on cessation programs including promoting California's cessation program, Kick It California.
