Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services and Partners Open Warming Center in Yreka on March 7 & March 8, 2023

Siskiyou County, CA - Siskiyou County Office of Emergency Services is partnering with the City of Yreka, the County of Siskiyou, the Yreka Police Department, Siskiyou County Public Health, Siskiyou County Social Services Division, Siskiyou County Health and Human Services – Behavioral Health Division, and the Yreka United Methodist Church to open a warming center in Yreka on March 7, 2023, and March 8, 2023, due to the extreme cold weather predictions.

The warming center is located at the Yreka United Methodist Church, 502 N. Fairchild St, Yreka, CA 96097. The center will accept guests beginning March 7, 2023, from 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. and March 8, 2023, from 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. 

NEW Transportation Details

Van Transportation will be offered to and from the Warming Center!

Van Transportation to Warming Center:
Pick up nightly at BHS 2060 Campus Drive, Yreka time 6:45 P.M.

Van Transportation from Warming Center:
Pick up each morning at 6:45 A.M. and dropped off at BHS 2060 Campus Drive, Yreka.

  • There will not be any other pick-up/drop-off spots available along the route.
  • Animals are allowed as long as they are leashed and not causing a problem.
  • Warming Center guests utilizing transport are asked to limit belongings to one small personal bag and a sleeping bag/pillow/blanket if desired. Excessive belongings cannot be transported.
