Probate Conservatorship
A probate conservatorship of the “person” may be established for those persons found unable to properly provide for their own personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter. It is also used to make medical decisions on behalf of those mentally incompetent to do so for themselves. A probate conservator of “estate” may be established for those who are substantially unable to manage their own financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence. This form of conservatorship usually continues for the duration of the person's life.
