Meet Your Assessor-Recorder, Craig S. Kay

Siskiyou County Assessor-Recorder Craig Kay started his employment with the Assessor’s Office in 2004 as a Senior Appraiser, after working as an appraiser in Tulare and Shasta Counties. Craig served as the Assistant Assessor-Recorder for eight years until being elected Assessor-Recorder in 2018.

Craig is a Siskiyou County native, residing in Dunsmuir with his wife Stephanie. He was born and raised in Dunsmuir, graduated from Dunsmuir High School, and then went on to earn his B.S. Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Chico. Craig is the Treasurer of the Northern California Assessors’ Association as well as Treasurer of the Dunsmuir Scholarship Fund.

Craig is committed to the citizens of Siskiyou County, and pledges to administer the Office of Assessor-Recorder with the same excellent service and integrity they have become accustomed to.
