Communications
The Communication Division is responsible for the following:
- Radio and telephone service for all County departments.
- Service to all County two-way users.
- The Nor-Cal EMS radio system with mountaintop repeaters for ambulance service throughout the county.
- Maintenance of over 400 mobile radios, 350 handhelds and numerous pagers.
- Installation of radios, light bars, cameras and other special needs on all County vehicles.
- Data wiring, fiber optics, security cameras, alarm systems, public address systems and interview room electronics.
- Supports state mandated County 911 coordination.
