Free Green Waste Dump Day April 20, 2024

Caltrans and Siskiyou County General Services Department are partnering to host a Free Green Waste Dump Day for Siskiyou County residents to dump their green waste for FREE at the Oberlin Transfer Station (Yreka) and Black Butte Transfer Station (Mt. Shasta) on April 20, 2024 at 8:00 A.M.

In addition to the FREE day, sponsored by CalTrans District 2, various days in April will only $5.00/pickup or trailer load (approx. 2x cubic yards). All of these days are a great opportunity to clean up your property and prepare for the upcoming fire season!

Oberlin Transfer Station

Please, no commercial vehicles. Leaves and grass clippings must be separated from brush/limbs/branches.

To help minimize traffic, we recommend that you use this opportunity to only bring items that qualify for the free dump day and plan a separate trip to bring any other items that need to be disposed of. Make sure you properly secure your load prior to transport!
