Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC)
The Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC) was established under the requirements of the Transportation Development Act. The SSTAC serves as an advisory body to the Siskiyou County Local Transportation Commission (SCLTC) regarding the transit needs of residents of Siskiyou County, including but not limited to transit dependent and transit disadvantaged persons such as the elderly, disabled, and persons of limited means.
Pursuant to PUC § 99238 the SCLTC is required to establish a Social Services Transportation Advisory Council (SSTAC). SSTAC consists of the following representatives:
- One representative of potential transit users who are 60 years of age or older.
- One representative of potential transit user who are disabled.
- Two representatives of the local social service providers for seniors.
- Two representatives of local social service providers for the disabled.
- One representative of social service provider for persons of limited means.
- Two representatives from the local consolidated transportation service agency.
- Member-At-Large Appointment
