Housing
GNS is a community based nonprofit that invigorates communities by initiating positive social change to improve economic conditions.
The Karuk Tribe Housing Authority (KTHA) will acquire and maintain assets. KTHA will strive to alleviate the acute shortage of decent, safe, and sanitary dwellings for Native American persons of low and moderate income. Affordable housing services shall include rental, home ownership and model programs.
Economic Development
The Siskiyou County Economic Development Council, Inc.
The SCEDC is a non-profit 501(c)4 corporation designed to promote the overall economic development of Siskiyou County. The SCEDC functions as a clearinghouse of sorts for countywide efforts aimed at improving the local economic base and generating increased permanent employment opportunities.
Jefferson Economic Development Institute
JEDI is a non-profit organization that provides resources for people, businesses, and communities to create self-determined livelihoods, healthy organizations, and thriving economies. JEDI raises awareness of the effectiveness of microenterprise in Siskiyou County.
