Biography:

Supervisor Kobseff moved to Siskiyou County in 1968.  He grew up in the lumber town of McCloud.  He has been a resident of Siskiyou County for 54 years.

As self-employed business owners, he and his wife Lynn successfully operated Michael’s Restaurant in Mount Shasta for 30 years.  It was a startup business to raise their family and reside in Siskiyou County.  

He was first elected in 2006.  He is serving his 16^th year on the Board of Supervisors.   His district includes the City of Weed, Lake Shastina, Grenada, Big Springs, Gazelle and a portion of Mount Shasta northwest of Abrams Lake Road. 

He serves as the Siskiyou County delegate to Rural County Representatives of California; Chairman of the Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority under RCRC; Local Transportation Commission; Liaison to Siskiyou County Fish & Game Commission; and serves on additional committees representing the Board of Supervisors.

He is very proactive about water issues in our county.  Natural resources issues, public safety, forest management, fire safety, economic growth, fisheries recovery, maintaining ag production in Siskiyou County are vital interests to him.
