Data Management Webpage

The DMS currently includes wells from DWR’s Online System of Well Completion Reports (OSWCRs) that are within the basin boundaries, or within ½ mile of a basin boundary to account for location uncertainty of wells located at section centroids. The DMS includes well locations and construction data for a total of 10,352 well records; of these, 5,168 are visible to the public based on proximity to the groundwater basins. The rest are hidden from the public to improve page loading time. Data from the GSP Monitoring Database (https://data.cnra.ca.gov/dataset/gspmd) associated with the water level Representative Monitoring Points for the Scott, Shasta, and Butte Valley groundwater basins are included. The DMS is currently under development and more information such as well logs, lithology, and streamflow data, to name a few, will be added as progress continues.
