Firewood

The Siskiyou County Department of Weights and Measures Investigates complaints about fire wood quantity.

• Firewood must be sold in quantities measured in cords, or fractions of a cord, unless the quantity is 1/8 cord or less, in which case it can be sold by the cubic foot.
• The specified kind of firewood must be sold in the advertised volume.
• Fire deliveries must include a receipt showing kind of wood, date of delivery, volume sold, purchase price and dealer’s name, address and phone number.
