Plant and Nursery Inspection

Siskiyou County is home to many different nursery plants, including strawberry, raspberry, turf, trees, flowers, and shrubs.  These plants are shipped across the state, and around the world.  The Siskiyou County Department of Agriculture works with nurserymen, CDFA, and other regulatory agencies to ensure the proper inspection, production, shipping, and handling of nursery stock.  Funded primarily by license and registration fees, these nursery regulatory activities are necessary to prevent the spreading of pests and harming agriculture, our communities, and the environment.
