Rabies Program

The Siskiyou County Environmental Health Division is responsible for enforcing laws pertaining to rabies control in the unincorporated areas of Siskiyou County. All animal bites to humans are reportable to the Environmental Health Division and biting animals must be quarantined or tested for rabies.

All animal bites should be reported to the Environmental Health Division.  Please call 530-841-2100 to report all animal bites.

All dog and cat owners are encouraged to properly vaccinate their pets. Please contact your local veterinarian or research low-cost rabies vaccination clinics in your area.
