REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:
HEAD FIRE STRUCTURAL DEBRIS REMOVAL SERVICES
NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE PROPOSERS
You are invited to review and respond to this Request for Proposal (RFP), entitled “REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: HEAD FIRE STRUCTURAL DEBRIS SERVICES.”
The County anticipates awarding one (1) Agreement to perform work within Siskiyou County.
AGREEMENT BUDGET: Subject to the availability of funds and approval by the County, the total estimated cost is $600,000.00.

Structural Debris Removal Services Needed: This work will include the preparation, removal, transport, and recycling or disposal of metals, ash, debris, concrete foundations and flatwork, potentially dangerous trees, and contaminated soil on residential properties. A “potentially dangerous tree” is defined as a tree that poses a risk to the Contractor’s debris removal crews. These trees are removed at the Contractor’s expense.
Currently, the County estimates that 40 structures were destroyed in the Head Fire, along with 85 vehicles. The estimated residential properties listed above are only preliminary estimates; actual quantities of structures are not guaranteed and may vary from the estimates substantially, either higher or lower, after the Agreement is awarded.
AGREEMENT BUDGET: Subject to the availability of funds and approval by the County, the total estimated cost is $600,000.00. The County reserves the right to amend the budget for the agreement represented by this RFP as needs arise.
Agreement Term. The term of the agreement will span approximately twelve (12) months and the anticipated start date is August 12, 2024, subject to the County’s Notice to Proceed.
