Siskiyou County Pre-Approved House Plans Now Live
SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA - Siskiyou County property owners now have a unique opportunity to streamline the process of constructing one-, two-, or three-bedroom homes or accessory dwelling units (ADUs).
The Siskiyou County Community Development Department has introduced pre-reviewed house plans. These plans offer substantial cost savings for property owners, expedite the permitting process, and reduce costs.
The plans are engineered to Siskiyou County standard requirements and provide flexibility for owners or builders to choose design style and size. Each plan option is offered in three different styles: Craftsman, Farmhouse, and Modern.
ADUs can serve various purposes, including providing independent space for family members or college students and generating long-term rental income for property owners. Furthermore, ADUs contribute to increased property values and assist in addressing local demand for more affordable and workforce housing.
Property owners are encouraged to preview renderings, floor plans, elevations, and additional information on the official Pre-Approved Plans website.
Siskiyou County provides seven distinct plan types in three style types (Craftsman, Farmhouse, Modern):
- Efficiency Studio, 396-square-foot unit with a porch.
- Studio, 624-square-foot unit with an optional garage.
- Two-story Studio, 624-square-foot unit with a two-car garage.
- One bedroom home, 624-square-foot home with a one-car garage.
- Two-bedroom home, 960-square-foot home with an optional garage.
- Three-bedroom home, 1,196-square-foot home with a two-car garage (alternative garage door location).
- Three-bedroom home, 1,650-square-foot home with a two-car garage (alternative garage door location).

Questions about the Pre-Approved Plans? The Community Development team will host two orientations that will be held at 806 S Main Street, Yreka in Community Development’s upstairs conference room on the following dates:
- Thursday, February 8th at 10:00 A.M.
- Tuesday, February 13th at 2:00 P.M.
